What is the Urecht Trans Clinic?
The Utrecht Trans Clinic is an initiative set up with the municipality of Utrecht and GGD region Utrecht to provide accessible and inclusive (anonymous) transcare to the most marginalised communities.
Colored Qollective seeks to make trans healthcare more accessible and inclusive for those of us who experience multiple forms of exclusion from regular healthcare. We are inspired by, and building on the work of the Trans United Clinic in Amsterdam.
Who is the Trans Clinic for?
The clinic is a community-led initiative coordinated by a team of racialised trans people for the most marginalised communities. The clinic is open to trans people for whom at least 1 of the following applies:
- You identify as racialised.
- You are undocumented.
- You are a sex worker.
You will also need a connection with the city of Utrecht. This includes, for example, that you work or live in or regularly visit Utrecht.
What will the Trans Clinic offer?
The clinic provides accessible, inclusive, and where necessary, anonymous sexual healthcare, including STI and HIV testing and PrEP; access and guidance to hormones; and a social space and activities to connect with other trans people and create a holistic trans clinic together, by and for us.
When is the Trans Clinic open and how can I access it?
The clinic organises sessions monthly. You need to make an appointment to be able to come to an available clinic date.
Contact us to make an appointment via transkliniek@coloredqollective.org. You will receive the location and date once you are registered.
