Who we’re looking for

Who you are

  • Queer and/or trans;
  • A person of colour or migrantised person;
  • Between the ages 18-30;
  • Interested in:
    • Human rights, sexual health justice, and the topic of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHRs),
    • Policymaking and the policy framework of SRHRs on Europe, national, and local levels,
    • Advocacy to shape the future of SRHRs in Europe,
  • Ready to weave advocacy into community care.

What we expect from you

  • Able to commit to the two online workshops by SÜDWIND (Austria) on May 6th, 16.30-19.30 and May 8th, 16.30-19.30;
  • Preferably already able to commit to the local round table of Colored Qollective between September and October;
  • Active and driven engagement with the team and events;
  • Strong desire to better understand the landscape of SRHRs in Europe and to learn how to advocate and influence policymaking on SRHRs across different contexts.

We are also looking for 1 youth SRHR advocacy expert. Do you have experience in advocacy, civic engagement, activism, participation in formal or informal organisations/networks, or knowledge of the local context; and want to share these experiences in these online workshops? Let us know below!

What you will get in return and be a part of

  • Be part of a transnational project with youth leaders from over 10 countries across Europe;
  • Learn and exchange knowledges and experiences with advocacy experts and youth from all over Europe;
  • Be equipped with the tools to advocate and influence SRHR policymaking on European, national, and local levels and contribute to shaping the future of SRHR in Europe;
  • Be part of a CQ Youth Team by and for trans and queer youth of colour and migrantised youth;
  • Get to join the larger CQ community and our efforts to create intentional spaces by and for our communities!

The youth team will be entitled to volunteer compensation in accordance with CQ’s compensation policy. This consists of 40+85 euros for the online workshops; and 40+85 euros, food, and travel reimbursement for the local round table.


About the Virtual EU SRHR Advocacy & Policy Navigation Workshops with SÜDWIND

In these workshops, young people across Europe will learn to better understand, promote, and advocate SRHRs across Europe. You will get to learn and share with advocacy experts, explore different advocacy strategies together, exchange experiences and ideas with other youth leaders from 10 different EU countries, and get to know the Y-Turnout EU Advocacy Toolkit.

The Toolkit was developed and translated to all partner languages, to be presented during the workshops.

During these workshops, you and other youth leaders from across Europe will get to know more about:

  • The EU SRHR policy and legislative framework;
  • Human rights-based, intersectional, and gender-sensitive approaches in SRHR advocacy;
  • Amplifying youth voices: the EU Survey on Justice, Rights, and Values
