Queer Winter Matched

Hi Queerdom,

Colored Qollective's next event will take place on Tuesday 29 December 2020 from 15.30 – 17.30. The theme of this event is Queer Winter Matched which will focus on dating/hook-up apps and what singles or people in a relationship are looking for during the holiday period.  In this session we will discuss sexting during the winter and what the figures and statistics say about.b sexual preference and how we deal with it.

Chill session
It's been a while since our last meeting, Virtual Spook which was fun, exciting and scary. Now comes another exciting afternoon for you! Next Sunday, November 29, 2020 between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm Colored Qollective will host the follow-up group meeting called "Chill Session". We will do new games for the company; in addition, we will create a Share &Care session for those who need it and we will also listen to favorite queer songs together. The idea is that an opportunity is given to express their feelings, what is going on at the moment and that we talk to each other as QBIPOC people. Colored Qollective presents: Coming-In
Colored Qollective will provide an online panel discussion for the Utrecht Rainbow Festival. This will be about the topic coming-in. That is, we want to highlight a different side; there are plenty of conversations about coming-out, which are dominated mainly by white queer people, while being out of the closet is not always realistic or desirable at all and there is much more to be said by our own group. The event itself is also only accessible to LGBTQIA+ people of color. Before the start of the event, we will explain how you can participate. Can't you be there? Fortunately, the conversation will be recorded and afterwards the recording will be shown on this page, so you don't have to miss anything. Hopefully we'll see you soon!
Virtual Ghost!
Due to the circumstances surrounding corona, the following event will take place at Zoom: Virtual Spook. This event organized by Colored Qollective will take place on October 31 between 14.00-17.00. You're invited to bring your scary face to the party. We will have multiple online (group) games, open space for musical suggestions and a 'not' so scary playful afternoon. As always, Colored Qollective has your safety in mind, so read the COVID-19 measures and make sure you bring your scariest face!

After our successful Piqniq in July, we have our next meeting scheduled for September 27.
Colored Qollective organizes i.s.m. POCQunity a fun and intriguing workshop with (audio) maker and voice actor Tirsa With, who will give you an interactive session.
This is an opportunity for you to join us and see what you will benefit from this inspiring evening.
The theme and location will be announced later, but for now the date will be kept mainly free. Colored Qollective makes for a delicious lunch!
Register: This is an event intended for LGBTQIA+ of color and LGBTQIA+ fled fellow human beings.

Colored Qollective PiQniQ
On Sunday 26 July we had a picnic with pizza in the park! It was still a while to see if the weather would cooperate, but in the end a nice sun shone that day. There were tasty pizzas for everyone, and it was very cozy with good conversations and happy faces. This time, as we were able to reimburse travel expenses for those who really needed it, we had a lot of new visitors. This was very nice and of course we hope to see these people again at another meeting!

Being quarantined is difficult, to stay together a bit colored Qollective therefore organizes online meetup evenings every Monday! In these meetings we mainly try to organize something fun with each other, from game nights to makeup sessions and much more!

Colored Qollective safe(r) space meetings

Now that Colored Qollective has officially become a foundation, we want to take a moment to celebrate with you! Do you want to know more about what it means to be a foundation? Ask all about it during our first meeting on 9 February 2020.

We would like to invite you to our meeting next Sunday where we would like to organize a film screening with the film 'Rafiki', a film about a first great love between two lesbian girls from Kenya. As a result of this film, we would like to talk to each other on the basis of a few pre-prepared questions.

Lunch is included!
